Xin Yang, PhD

Biography

Dr. Xin Yang is a data scientist in the biomedical informatics team at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Clinical & Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin. Before joining MCW, she obtained her Ph.D. in computational chemistry and managed the laboratory for molecular simulation, a fore facility under the Texas A&M high-performance research computing.

 

She is currently collaborating with Dr. Kothari and other lab members to predict surgical outcomes using EHR and genomics data through machine learning and advanced analytics. She has extensive experience working with well-known health research platforms, including N3C, the All of Us Research Hub, and TriNetX. She is also working on expanding in-house support for the institutional data enclave (CRDW).

 

Xin enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, and building plastic models from kits in her free time.
